The UAE authorities also grant a Patient Companion Entrance Permit in addition to this visa. The UAE’s economy is relatively new and improving. As a result, the hospitals there are more up to date than many in the West. Citizens of foreign countries who need medical treatment in the UAE and are from visa-required countries must get a Patient Entrance Permit from one of the UAE’s visa-issuing authorities.
Medical tourism in the United Arab Emirates has reached new heights in recent years, with international medical patients traveling to Dubai to take advantage of reasonably cost private medical treatments in the country’s reputable private hospitals.
The UAE has highly sophisticated medical experts, including super-specialty doctors and surgeons who have primarily studied and trained in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Western Europe. Patients from all over the world can benefit from a variety of surgical procedures, including cosmetic surgery, dermatology, orthopedic surgery, aesthetics, and reproductive treatments. On the contrary,
The United Arab Emirates is well-known for its vibrant nightlife, shopping complexes, and mouth-watering cuisine, all of which provide discerning visitors with a positive feeling.
Key Benefits of Medical Tourism in the United Arab Emirates
The UAE features a booming economy that is only a few years old. As a result, the hospitals there are more advanced than many in the West. This, combined with government-led measures to make the visa application process easier, has resulted in rising in the number of medical tourists visiting the UAE in recent years.
In their private and public sector hospitals and medical facility complexes, UAE hospitals provide a variety of medical and aesthetic surgeries.
Foreigners from visa-required countries who desire to receive medical treatment in the UAE must obtain a Patient Entry Permit from one of the UAE’s visa-issuing authorities.
To acquire a Medical Treatment Visa, you do not need to go to the UAE embassy in your home country. The patient admission permit is organized by your sponsor (that is, the facility where you will receive medical treatment). The hospital must be certified and registered in the UAE in order to sponsor your visit. Your sponsor files an appeal with one of the UAE’s visa-issuing authorities.
The following documents are required for a Medical Treatment Visa in the UAE:
The user of a medical treatment visa (UAE Patient Entrance Permit) is allowed to stay in the country for up to 90 days from the date of entry. You must arrive in the UAE within 60 days of receiving your visa. UAE Patient Entrance Permits are divided into two categories:
Single-entry: Permits the holder to visit the UAE only once and stay for a maximum of 90 days.
Multiple – entry: It allows the visa holder to enter the UAE multiple times for up to 90 days.
Your sponsor can also apply to extend your UAE Patient Entry Permit once, and only if they can show documentation that you require for additional medical treatment (ie. a certified medical report).
A UAE Patient Companion Entrance Permit is required if you are accompanying a patient who requires medical care in the UAE. The hospital is also the one that makes an application for your entry permit. You and the patient must also go to the country together. Your sponsor must submit the following documents in order to apply for a UAE Patient Companion Entrance Permit:
A Patient Companion Entry Permit has the same validity as a Medical Visa/Patient Entry Permit: it must be utilized within 60 days, and you can stay for up to 90 days after you enter the country.
The visa can be awarded for single or many entries, and it can only be renewed once, assuming the patient requires additional treatment and your presence in the nation.
Because the UAE Medical Treatment Visa and the Patient Companion Visa are entrance permits rather than residence visas, nationals of selected countries are permitted to come visa-free or receive a visa on arrival. For limited periods of time, the UAE government enables nationals of the following countries to travel visa-free.
